Fly Fishing School added to the Curriculum:

NEW... The Ultimate Backwater Fishing School now offers a Fly Fishing program. Each class is limited to four (4) students. Classes will remain small to keep all instruction individual and personal by our School's standards. Students will provide their own personal fly fishing equipment. It is logical for our certified instructors to teach class members, using their own gear. The School will provide a set of flies to each student that are targeted for our predominant seasonal species, Snook, Redfish, Sea Trout and Tarpon.
The regular Backwater Light Tackle School is held contemporaneously with the stand alone Fly Fishing sessions. Students arrive on Sunday afternoon and leave after breakfast on the following Thursday.

Students from both Schools will share evening dining room hours to build camaraderie. Monday morning classroom study will be the same for both groups, fish biology, first aid, safety along with basic navigation and “reading the water.” Following lunch on Monday, students will go to breakout technique and equipment sessions with their instructors. Water days, Tuesday and Wednesday, will place two (2) students per boat with an instructor for two great days of sight fishing in saltwater.

Whether you're on the hunt for the silver king or using light tackle for shallow water species, we will help you improve your technique. Our instructors are people who know fish as well as they know the water.they are professionals and the best in the business. Let us help you jump start your fishing 'career'.
