Question by fancydancy3: Does California have sports and activities through the rec council?
Most states have sports and activities through the recreation & parks council. In Maryland we have baseball, football, soccer, gymnastics, dance, and so many more. I am a volunteer dance teacher with the rec council. Does anyone know if the state of California has a rec council that offers these sports and activities?
What town do you live in Lori? what about dance? do they have dance?

Well I dont know about a whole state thing but we have a parks and recreation department in my town…. but they dont offer gymnastics…

what are some gentlemanly sports?

i’m starting a club at my high school called “the gentlemens sports and recreation association” where we basically play games like croquet and bocce ball (non contact, leisurely games that are barely considered sports). what are some other games we could play (don’t worry about necessary facilities i just want ideas)

Cricket, lawn bowling, bowling, poker, shuffle board, darts, lawn darts, snooker(pool balls have no numbers, they are mostly red, etc.) golf.

Can not manage my time?

I have so many things to do daily ( at work, at home to look after kids, help to wife, friend’s matters, some recreation, sports, social hepls, some religious deeds, to ready books,….i want to do all) and have not enough sleeping time. I merely have 5-6 hrs daily only. Can it be harmful to health?

I know what you mean, we all wish days were longer !
Sleep is very important, myself I don’t sleep more than 5-6 hours a night and after a while I can get very tired and am good at nothing then.
I suggest you to try to take it easy for a while, do less things during the day and try to sleep like 7 hours a night, you should feel a difference after a week.
Also, if you don’t sleep enough you feel sleepy and you don’t want to fall asleep at work, do you ? And it will affect your nerves !
So you should try to take it easy for a while, do some of your hobbies but not all in one day, have a schedule or something and don’t neglect your sleep time

its a place where you go and play around. Most of the time they have a basketball court and a running track.

Same as anywhere else…hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, hunting, skiing, boating, camping, b-b-qing, chili cookoffs, poker, dominos, pool, shuffleboard, football, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, volleyball, bowling, kite-flying, horseback riding, goat-roping, horseshoes, cowchip pitching, ping pong, girl watching, kegging, bottomless bonging…we’re no different than anyone else. We just do more of it.

They imported lot of Moroccan Hashish (Opium) through the silk road and enjoyed drinking Opium Tea. In fact during the Tang Dynasty Opium tea was declared the National Drink.

I just register for chelsea recreation center for work out. I am trying to go there early in the morning before work. I wanna know if I can work out and take a shower in the morning and go right to work place. I wanna know if there is a good place to use hair dryer, do make up and get ready.

i kno u only asked for current students and alumni, but i got in and went for a tour. The campus is very pretty; it has a lot of open space with tress, roses, and various plants. The dorms are large and well organized. For example, the business majors would be in the same dorm and the engineering majors would be in their dorms. I liked it a lot more than UCLA.
